Programs

E-Conservation Residential Energy and Home Energy eXtension

The E-Conservation Residential Energy Education program and Home Energy eXtension are programs and resources designed to help consumers make informed energy efficiency and conservation decisions for their home. The programs teach consumers how to be proactive in their energy use choices that result in energy and monetary savings.

Disaster Education Program

The Disaster Education Program teaches consumers to properly prepare for potential disasters, as well as how to respond and recover once a disaster has hit.

Healthy Homes Solutions — Good Health Begins at Home

Healthy Homes Solutions — Good Health Starts at Home, builds upon the Healthy Homes initiatives and partnership of the United States Department of Agriculture-National Institute of Food and Agriculture (USDA-NIFA) and the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development-Office of Healthy Homes and Lead Hazard Control (HUD) that address housing-based health and safety risks. NC State Extension is a part of a network of state coordinators who partner with state agencies, medical professionals, schools, and community groups to educate families on home health hazards.

The LiveAbility House

The LiveAbility House is a virtual demonstration home, designed to teach individuals about real life universal design principles and assistive technology devices that may increase their ability to remain living at home despite physical or cognitive challenges they may encounter due to aging, illness, or disability.

Fair Housing Education

In partnership with the North Carolina Human Relations Commission, NCCE provides Fair Housing education and outreach to underserved individuals.
