Celebrate National Nutrition Month in March!

(Updated: Feb. 26, 2025, 1 p.m.)

Join us in celebrating National Nutrition Month this March! The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics established National Nutrition Month in 1973 to invite Americans to learn more about making healthy choices and developing healthy eating and physical activity habits.

The theme of National Nutrition Month 2025 is “Food Connects Us.” Food connects us to our culture, family, and friends. Our traditions and memories factor into our relationships with food, which can impact our overall health.

National Nutrition Month has four weekly messages, one for each week of March, that relate to the year's theme and encourage Americans to get involved and apply the theme to their everyday lives in practical ways. N.C. Cooperative Extension can bring awareness to National Nutrition Month and help communities thrive.

Stay tuned as we provide weekly ideas to engage community members and highlight Extension professionals doing work that aligns with this year's National Nutrition Month theme!
