I’m sure you’ve head about the Mediterranean diet and the health benefits that go along with practicing it. It’s important to know that the Med Way is more than just a diet. It’s a way of living, a way of thinking, and a great way to improve many facets of your health.

This fall, we have an aAgentsmazing program coming up. Family and Consumer Science professionals from across the South Central District have teamed up to bring the Med Instead of Meds program to a virtual setting. Der Holcomb in Alexander, Roshunda Terry in Anson, Andrea Sherrill in Iredell, Kristin Davis in Mecklenburg, Rhonda Peters in Montgomery, Hayley Cowell in Stanly, and Marcus McFarland in Union are all excited to share information about strategies, cooking skills, and recipes with you.

The program will meet weekly on Wednesdays beginning on October 7 and concluding on November 11, 2020. Sessions will begin at noon and wrap up at 1:30 p.m. Participation is free, but registration is required by September 28. If you can’t attend at the scheduled time but are still interested in the class, please register anyway! All sessions will be recorded and can be viewed at other times that are convenient for your family.

We will be using the Zoom platform, but have taken steps to increase safety. The Zoom link will only be provided to verified registrants and a password will be required.
