N.C. Cooperative Extension of Clay County will be hosting a Backyard Poultry Webinar Wednesday, May 13, 2020, from 2–5 p.m. 

Raising poultry in small backyard flocks has become a popular practice in McDowell County. Keeping a backyard flock is a great way to supplement your family’s food supply with fresh eggs and meat. For some, it serves as a way to generate a small additional income. Whether your main goal is to feed your family or sell fresh eggs in your community, it is important to know the ins and outs of managing a backyard flock to insure your flock is healthy and productive. 

If you are planning to set up a flock in your backyard or have been raising poultry for years and would like to improve your management practices, this webinar is for you.
